Instructions
Configuring the Kaltura and Zoom integration
- You will be directed to the Integration page once you have logged in.
- To configure Kaltura, click Configure.
-
Configure Kaltura as follows:
- User Name: If you want to enable this feature in Kaltura, go to the Settings (gear icon) section of your user settings.
- User ID: In Kaltura, you can find this under Settings but also under My User Settings.
- Partner ID: You can find this either in the Settings or Integrations tab of your Kaltura account.
- Administrator Secret: It can be found in the Settings and Integrations section of your Kaltura account.
- Enable upload recording: Enable Kaltura integration by clicking this box. Integrating Kaltura without this will not work. It is possible to uncheck this box temporarily to disable Kaltura integration.
- Allow users to edit Kaltura User ID in their Profile page: With this, users will be able to configure their own Kaltura User ID on their profiles, which will allow Zoom recordings to be associated with their Kaltura identities.
- Stop Email Notification: By checking this box, you will no longer receive email notifications when Zoom is ready to record.
- Category by Zoom Recording: If you check this box, a category of “Zoom recordings” will be added to Kaltura automatically, allowing you to automatically add all Zoom recordings there.
- Save the changes.
Configuring User IDs for individual users
Zoom allows you to add Kaltura user IDs for individuals so that recordings can be associated with their Kaltura accounts. In the absence of user IDs, all recordings will be linked to the administrator’s Kaltura account.
In addition to the user ID, account owners or administrators may configure the user ID through their user profile page, or by calling the Update a User REST API.
