Share motion and video content in Webex Meetings and Webex Webinars

The quality of the screen or application that you share will vary depending on the type of content that you are sharing when you share your screen or an application with others. Text and images are usually optimized for sharing in the default settings, so that documents and slides will contain high resolutions by default, because they have been designed to be shared. When you share things such as video, animations, or dynamic applications, you can optimize the frame rate to ensure a high frame rate. If you want to share your desktop audio with the others through the Webex Audio Conference, you can also share that audio so all can hear it at the same time.

Webex video platform version 2.0 is required for optimizing Webex meetings for motion and video. See Find your Webex Meetings version number if you don’t know which version you’re using. As part of the feature, you will also need to ensure that the settings on your site allow video systems to join meetings as well. The optimization menu may not be visible to you in some cases. If this is the case, you should contact your system administrator.

  1. Click on the Share button.
  2. Using the drop-down menu, select the optimization method that you want to apply to your shared content:
    • Automatically Optimize—Optimizes your content according to the type of content you are writing.
    • Optimize for text and images—In your shared content, text and images will always be displayed in the highest quality and clarity.
    • Optimize for motion and video—If you play the video and animation at a higher frame rate, the playback will be smoother.
      If you choose either Automatically Optimize or Optimize for Motion and Video, Meetings supports sharing motion and video content up to 1080p in a quality up to 2048×1536.
    • Optimize for 3D—The quality of content to be presented in meetings should be enhanced to include 3D elements, such as CAD and medical imagery, in order to enhance the participant experience. There is no charge for this, but it must be requested.
  3. In case you wish to share a video or animation with sound, select the Share your computer audio check box if you want to do so in order to share the audio associated with this video or animation. If they join from a phone, VoIP system, or video system, they will hear the audio as mono output through the Webex Audio conference.
    On the Share window, you will find a tab for sharing preferences.
     When you share audio from your computer with Webex for the first time, it prompts you to install audio drivers on your computer. Please follow the instructions on the screen to install the software, or click Cancel to cancel it.
  4. It will be possible for you to share a screen or application by simply clicking on the Share button on the bottom of the screen.

Whenever you share content, you have the option of changing your optimization settings. Select the Share Content option from the top of the screen at the bottom of the screen.

It is only the Chrome browser that is compatible with these optimization options.

  1. Select Optimise for text and images and then select Optimise for motion or Optimise for video when you click Share.
  2. Click on the screen you wish to select.
  3. Please make sure that the Share your computer audio check box is checked if your content includes sound and you chose Optimize for motion and video.
  4. If you would like to share a screen or an application, select it first.
iOS

From your iPhone or iPad, you can share high-resolution video content at 30 frames per second (FPS) when participating in a meeting, as well as include audio for each video clip.

  1. You can share content by tapping More > Share Content.
  2. If your content has sound and you have chosen Optimize for Video, you do not need to select the Include Audio option. If your content has sound, you can select the Include Audio option.
    • When sharing content, Optimize for Images is the default option and it allows you to share images and text that are crystal clear.
  3. If you want to share a piece of content, you should first select the content you wish to share, then select Share.

Can you share screen and video on Webex?

As you use Webex, you can share your entire screen or an application with remote attendees in real-time, regardless of whether they are on the move, or even when they are traveling, in order to extend your meeting in a convenient and efficient manner. If you would like to share content or your screen, you can do so via the browser. Devices that run on the Android operating system.

Can you share video on Webex events?

There are several options available, such as sharing the entire screen or a video from a camera, or you can choose which documents and applications you want to share with others. Currently, this add-on is available for plans that support up to 10,000 users. There will only be a panel of panelists, a host, and a cohost.

Why Webex Cannot share content?

There is no menu or content sharing options available to anyone other than the panelists, presenters, and hosts. The share menu and share content options are only available to the presenter who is currently giving a presentation in an event. It is necessary for a participant to first become a panelist before being promoted to the position of presenter before they can share content with others.
