Sharing a whiteboard in zoom App
If you enable the whiteboard feature, you will be able to share a whiteboard that you and other participants (if allowed) can annotate.
Prerequisites for sharing a whiteboard
- Desktop client for Zoom
- Windows: version 3.5.19597.0626 or higher
- macOS: version 3.5.24604.0824 or higher
- Linux: version 2.0.123086.0330 or higher
- Zoom mobile app
- iOS (iPad only): version 2.5.34521.1207 or higher

Sharing a whiteboard
- From the meeting toolbar, click Share Screen.
- Select Whiteboard.
- Press Share.
- You can hide and show the annotation tools in the meeting controls by pressing the Whiteboard option.
- Create new pages and switch between pages by using the page controls in the bottom-right corner of the whiteboard.
- Note: Creating and switching pages can only be done by the participant or host who started sharing the whiteboard.
- Once you’re done, click Stop Sharing.
Multiple whiteboards in a meeting
Multi-participants can share a whiteboard simultaneously if simultaneous screen sharing is enabled. Having dual monitors enabled will allow you to view two whiteboards at once, or your own whiteboard and another participant’s.

Sharing a whiteboard
- In the meeting toolbar, click Share Screen.
- Select Whiteboard.
- Press Share Screen.
- In the meeting controls, you can toggle the Whiteboard option to show or hide the annotation tools.
- You can create new pages and switch between them by using the page controls in the bottom-right corner of the whiteboard.
- Note: Participants and hosts can only create and switch pages if they are part of the whiteboard sharing team.
- Once you have finished, click Stop Sharing.
Multiple whiteboards in a meeting
You can have multiple participants share a whiteboard simultaneously if you have simultaneous screen sharing turned on. Using dual monitors, however, will allow you to see two whiteboards simultaneously, or your own whiteboard and another participant’s.
Android
Sharing a whiteboard
- Share can be accessed through the meeting controls.
- Tap the Share Whiteboard button.
- Annotation tools can be accessed by tapping the pen icon.
- You can close the annotation tools by tapping the pen icon, and stop sharing by tapping Stop Share.
iOS
Note: Whiteboard is currently only available for iPad. Whiteboard will not appear on an iPhone.
How to Share a Whiteboard
- In the meeting controls, tap Share Content.
- Select Whiteboard.
- The annotation tools should appear automatically, but you can toggle their visibility by tapping the pen tool.
- Tap Stop Share when you are finished.
