Silence Incoming Calls on Your DECT Handset in webex
Depending on the handset you are using, you can set the handset not to ring for incoming calls or you can stop the handset from ringing at all during incoming calls.
Silence an Incoming Call
You can silence the handset by pressing a button to stop the ringing of the handset if you do not want to answer the call. In the event that you have configured voicemail for your account, the call will be transferred to your voicemail.
In the case of a ringing call,
-
When you press Decline, the call will be immediately directed to voicemail (if it has been configured that way).
-
The ringer will be silenced when you press Ignore. The call will go to voicemail if it is not answered (if it has been configured this way).
Set Do Not Disturb
The handset can be set to not alert you when an incoming call is received, so that you will not be disturbed. In this mode, you are not disturbed at all (DND mode). This mode is indicated by an icon in the header section of your screen when you are in it. Whenever you are on DND, and you receive a call, the call will be sent to your voicemail as soon as it comes in.
There are a number of icons that appear on the header of the DND window that are different from the ones displayed in normal mode.
The DND feature can only be used if your administrator has enabled it.
- Click on the Menu button.
- In the Settings menu, select the Do not disturb option.
- Make sure you highlight the choice you made.
-
Disabled (default): There is no DND mode on.
-
Enabled: There is a DND mode on.
- To save the setting, press the Select button at the bottom of the screen.
