Chat with multiple people at once by sending a group chat invitation. Your Cisco Jabber conversation will not be saved. The chat history is lost if you close the chat window.
Inviting participants to a group chat can be done in several ways:
You can chat with a participant in the group chat by opening a chat window. Start by clicking , adding participants, and clicking Start.
To invite everyone to the group chat, select them on your Contacts list. Select Start a group chat by right-clicking the selected names.
Click the group chat icon next to a group name on your Contacts list to initiate a group chat with all members.
Click on the group chat icon that appears when you hover your mouse over a participant from either the Contacts tab, or the Chats tab, and select them from the Contacts or Chats tabs respectively.
In the event that you already have a 1:1 chat, you can drag a contact from the Contacts tab to the content area of the message or to the participant list.
The maximum number of participants you can invite to a group chat is 50 by default. This cap can be increased by your administrator through the administration pages of the IM & Presence Service.

In order to create a group chat, choose the group chat icon from your contact list and select two or more people.
The New Chat icon can be found under the Chats tab.
You can select the icon for the group chat by selecting the header of the contact group.
