Steps to block any specific domains from joining Zoom webinars or meetings.
To maintain security both account admins, as well as owners, can block any authenticated specific users before joining zoom account hosted webinars as well as any meetings. In case the authentication profiles feature is enabled then the user before joining the zoom meeting must check the authentication profile. And after that, he can check whether he is on the domain block list or not.
There are some points you should remember in this regard:
- There must remain conjunction between the domain block list and authentication profiles. In case, there’s no requirement for authentication in the zoom meetings or webinars, then in addition to the PMIS, the user’s blocked list will also not be able to join webinars or meetings.
- This particular setting can override the authentication profile settings domains. Though all the domains that you have permitted to the authentication settings can be added but blocked domain users won’t be able to join webinars and meetings.
- There are certain participants from the blocked domains who can sideline the restriction. However, in that case, the host has to mark them as authentication exceptions for webinars or meetings.
The basic requirement for blocking specific domains from joining the zoom meetings and webinars is that you should have a zoom business, pro, and education account. The zoom client of windows, mac0s or Linux having 5.7.0 or higher versions can access it.
