What does end of support mean for me?
Skype versions 7 and below no longer receive security updates from Microsoft or technical support. To continue using Skype, you must upgrade to the most recent version. In the coming months, you will need to update if you have not already.
After November, support will no longer be provided for:
- Using older Skype versions may be possible for a short while, but we recommend updating today to avoid interruptions.
- Only account and billing questions will be handled by customer support for versions 7 and below.
