Switch your audio during Webex Meetings, Webex Webinars, or Webex Events (classic)
No matter how you originally joined a meeting, webinar, or event, you can always change your audio connection. Your mobile phone can be used to call you if you need to step away from a computer meeting.
Click on Switch audio, then click on . Choose the option you would like to use.
Meetings, webinars, and events may not have all available options.
-
Use computer audio—You can use your computer to connect audio by clicking Switch. In order to have the best meeting experience possible, you should choose this option.
-
Call me at—The meeting, webinar, or event can call you if you enter a phone number and click Switch. You can participate in discussions while on the move when you connect on your phone.
-
Call in—For audio connections on your phone, please click View for the number and access code. Please note the access code or meeting number as well as the attendee ID so you can reference them later. The following numbers will need to be entered in order for you to be able to join the meeting.
When you are asked for the access code or meeting number, enter that when prompted along with your attendee ID, and you will be able to join the meeting. Please press # if you do not have your attendee ID, or you may wait in the lobby until someone in the meeting allows you to enter if you do not have it.
Attendee IDs allow your name to be linked to your audio when you are in a meeting. The audio connection will appear in the Participants list as a call-in user, separate from your name, unless you enter your attendee ID. In this case, you are not able to control the audio connection from the application as it will appear as a call-in user.
You can change the audio connection by tapping More options.
You will have the option to choose from the following audio options:
-
Use Internet for Audio—If you have earbuds or a speakerphone on your phone, you can use it.
-
