Test Your Speaker and Microphone in Webex Meetings and Events
Test both your speaker and your microphone to ensure that everyone can hear you and that you can be heard by them.
Perform a Sound Check on Your Speakers and Microphone Before Entering Any Webex Meetings
See How to Select Audio Settings for Webex Meetings for sites starting with 41.10 and later.
Find your Webex Meetings version number here to determine the version you are currently using.
1. To test while joining the meeting on sites running WBS40.8 or later, click Settings in the lower-right corner of the preview window, then skip to Step 3 to continue with the process.
2. To perform a test during the gathering, select Speaker, microphone, and camera from the menu that appears after clicking on More choices.
3. Select the Test option from the Speaker menu.
If you are not hearing anything, try switching the speaker device using the drop-down menu or adjusting the level using the slider under Output.
4. Select Test from the Microphone option, and after that, test your microphone by speaking into it.
After a little while, an audio recording of your exam will begin to play automatically for you to review.
If you are unable to hear the audio being played back, try selecting a different microphone from the drop-down list or changing the volume slider located next to the word “Input.”
