Note: Depending on the version of Webex that you are using, certain phrases in this article may be changed with “Cisco Webex Desktop App” or “Webex Integration.” For those who are using Outlook 2016,
Solution:
To resolve the issue:
1 Launch Outlook, go to the File tab, and then select the Options button.
2 To add an add-in, select the Add-Ins button.
3 Select Disabled Items from the submenu that appears under Manage, then click the Go button….
4 Click the Enable button after you have highlighted the entry for Productivity Tools in the list.
Note: Refer to the alternative solution that is provided below in the event that Productivity Tools does not appear under Disabled Items.
5 Close and reopen Microsoft Outlook.
After you have restarted Outlook, the Webex toolbar ought to be available for use.
If the Productivity Tools section is absent from the list of disabled items:
Check Webex Settings:
1 Navigate to the Start menu, then All Programs, then Webex, and then select Productivity Tools > Preferences.
2 To configure the ‘Meet Now’ settings, select the appropriate tab.
3 Check to see that all of the information is entered.
4 Make sure the Meeting password is entered if it is a necessary field by checking the Scheduled Meetings tab and making sure the password is entered.
5 To access the tools, click the Tools tab.
6 Remove the checkmark from Microsoft Outlook, then click the Apply button.
7 Click Apply and then OK after you’ve checked Microsoft Outlook.
Note : this toggles the Outlook Integration setting and refreshes the link between Outlook and the productivity tools. This is a crucial stage in the process.
8 Restart Outlook 2010.
Try the following procedures if the Webex toolbar still does not show up after you have completed them.
- Try to uninstall and then reinstall the Webex Productivity Tools, and then restart Outlook after each of these steps has been completed.
Note: In order for the toolbar to appear in Outlook, you will need to go into Productivity Tools and provide the credentials for your Webex account.
