Tips of Quick start for the Zoom web client

Overview

The zoom web client allows you to connect to a narrowing of the conference or seminar without downloading any plugins or software. By default, the participants will be through the net the customer does not need a recording, a zooming user, but the master can request authentication.

Through settings, you can control if the Join from browser link appears automatically or if it only appears once the participants attempt to download zoom-out customers.

Important:

  • The web client has limited features and functions well on Firefox, Chrome, and edge. To see a detailed list of the features available in the web client.
  • Currently, you cannot participate in a seminar exercise of an online customer relationship.

Joining a meeting or webinar

  • Please click on the link to take part in the meeting.
  • If you are asked if you want to open the Zoom desktop client, click the Cancel button.
  • Please click on the Join from your Browser ‘link’.
  • Please note: If you do not see this option, make sure to link from your web browser.
  • If you are prompted to log in to your Zoom account. If you don’t have a Zoom account, you can create a new account.
  • You will now be asked to enter your name and the meeting password if it is not a part of the connecting link.
  • Simply Click On “Login.

To start a meeting or webinar

  • Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  • In the navigation menu, then click on Meetings and Seminars.
  • Click on the meeting you want to start.
  • Click to Start the Meeting in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  • If you are asked if you want to open the Zoom desktop client, click the Cancel button.
  • Please click on the Join from your Browser ‘link’.
  • Please note: If you do not see this option, make sure to link from your web browser.

Starting an instant meeting

  • Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  • Please click on to hold a MEETING in the upper right-hand corner, next to your profile image, and then select this option to start up a new video-on-video-off mode, or split the screen for the meeting.
  • If you are asked if you want to open the Zoom desktop client, click the Cancel button.
  • Please click on the Join from your Browser ‘link’.

Joining audio

Once you’re logged in, you can connect the audio out of your computer, whenever you make a call or select the call with me (if it is enabled, the receiving account. Give Me a call, and a toll-free number, it must be the audio conferencing plan.

  • Click to Join the Audio meeting and controls.
  • Click on your Phone, Computer, Sound, or Call Me a tab to select your log-in.
  • The phone then follows the on-screen instructions for a voice-over the phone.
  • The Audio From The Pc, Click On Connect To Audio Using Your Computer. After you connect a computer to the audio, you can switch Off/Switch on the lower left-hand corner, or click on the ^ select a different microphone and/or speakers.
  • Call me: Select the handset you are calling from the drop-down menu. Please enter your phone number. Make sure to remember the number of this machine, if you want the number to be stored for future sessions. Click To Call Me.

Viewing video

You can show the participants of the video: Review / the Active Speaker, or the Purpose of the receipt of the lights of the video.

Inviting others

  • Click the participants in the meeting controls.
  • Click Invite in the lower-left corner of the participant’s panel.
  • The available options will be based on the available docs for your account, if you are the host, and if you are logged in.
  • Invite via Email: This will open the options for sending an email with your default email client, Gmail, Yahoo Email, a copy of the URL, or a copy of the entire invitation.
  • Invite by phone: If you have an audio-visual conferencing plan, you can call participants by phone. Enter the name you want them to display, select their country, enter their phone number, and click Invite.
  • Invite a room to the system: If you do not have a cloud room connector -d- have, see the information for the H.323 or SIP room system to join the call or invite them by calling at their IP address.

Sharing your screen

  • Click the Share screen located in your Meeting Toolbar.
  • Select the screen you want to share, and then click Share. If you are using multiple monitors, you will see each screen.
  • To share a specific application window, click the Application window tab, select the application, and then click Share.

Notes:

  • When sharing the app, live changes to the document will not be visible to others. If you experience this issue, stop sharing and resume sharing to avoid this issue or share your entire screen.
  • For Windows 10 users, if multiple apps are open, a limited number will be listed as an option to share. If the app you want to share is not listed, close unnecessary apps and try again.

When sharing a screen, you will have access to the following controls:

  • The notification at the top of your Zoom Meeting window shows a preview of your shared screen. Click Pause Share to pause screen sharing.
  • Click Resume Share to resume screen sharing. You can click Stop Share to stop sharing your screen.
  • A floating notification bar appears at the top of your browser. Click Stop Sharing to stop sharing your screen. Hide the chick to remove the floating notification bar.
  • (Optional) Click the up arrow next to the Share screen button to change who has access to the screen sharing.

Requesting remote control

When other participants are screen sharing, you can control their screen remotely.

  • While viewing the screen share, click View Options at the top, then click Remote Control Request.
  • Click the request to confirm.
  • Click inside the screen share to start controlling the participant’s screen.
  • To stop the remote control, click on the remote control at the top.

Using the webinar Q&A

If you have these features enabled by the host, you can ask, vote, and comment on questions.

  • In Webinar Controls, click on the question.
  • You will have access to the following controls:
  • Write your question in the text box to ask a question.
  • If another participant has asked a question, click the thumbs up icon to vote on the question or click the comment. Questions are sorted based on the number of votes above.

Starting cloud recording

Click Record to record video, audio, and chat text on the zoom cloud. Local recordings are not supported in the web client.

Add polls and get started

The polling for Meetings feature allows you to add questions to your meetings. You will be able to start polling and collect answers during your meeting.

Managing participants

Click Meeting Participants to manage participants. Some features may not be available in the web client. For more information, refer to the detailed list of features available in the web client.

Using the webinar Q&A

As a webinar host, co-host or panelist, click Questions and Answers to answer and manage questions submitted by attendees.
