Transferring meetings between devices in zoom app
In times of busy schedules, seamless transferring meetings and webinars between devices is an easy and convenient way to move meetings and webinars from one device to another. This feature gives you the flexibility to participate in meetings and webinars as you need with your busy schedule, regardless of whether you are taking a meeting before leaving to walk the dogs, switching devices due to low battery, or arriving at your office and needing to take advantage of some unique features or controls that are available only on your desktop client.
Notes:
-
The following settings and data will not be transferred between devices when transferring a meeting or webinar for the first time, such as sent chat messages, raised hands status, any local recording that is active, closed captions, submitted questions and answers, and the ability to view the complete transcript. Re-joining a session occurs when you leave the session or disconnect from it before reconnecting.
-
You will only be able to transfer a webinar from one device to another if you are the host of the webinar and one of its co-hosts.
Prerequisites
-
There is a global minimum version of the Zoom desktop client for Windows, macOS, and Linux available
-
You must have the global minimum version or higher of Zoom for Android or iOS
-
Both devices were signed into the same account and had the same password
Enabling meeting and webinar transfer for your account
For all users in the account to be able to attend meetings and webinars, the following must be done:
-
Admins have the privilege to edit account settings as part of the Zoom web portal as long as they are logged in as an administrator.

You can access account settings by clicking on the Account Management option in the navigation menu.

Click on the Meeting tab on the left side of the screen.

The change needs to be confirmed by clicking Enable or Disable if a verification dialog appears.
Note: The account settings page is not accessible to basic accounts, but it will already be enabled by default so they will be able to access it as soon as they create an account.
Transferring a meeting or webinar from another device
You may find that you need to switch devices in case you are already participating in a meeting or webinar on one device, but you may find it unnecessary to switch devices if you are already participating on another device.
