Turn Webex Events (classic) on or off
You have the option of enabling Webex Events (classic) on your Webex site and granting users the freedom to select the Events service that best suits their needs. You can turn off the traditional Events feature if your company would rather have all of its employees participate in Webex Webinars.
- After successfully logging in to the Webex Site Administration, navigate to Configuration > Common Site Settings> Options.
- Move your cursor to the section labeled Site Options, and then do one of the following:

- Make sure that the Classic Event is enabled.
- Deactivate the Classic Event by unchecking its box.
If you decide not to enable “Events (classic)” for your website, the link labeled “Webex Events (classic)” will be removed from the left-hand navigation menu. No longer are hosts able to start previously booked events through the Webex site; instead, they must do it from within their own calendar applications or by email invitations. Hosts can still see any of their Events (classic) reports from events they have held in the past, even if the event was held in the past.
