Unable to Start or Join Cisco Webex Meetings on a Mac – Stuck on Connecting
On a Mac, I am unable to participate in or start a Cisco Webex meeting – I am stuck on the connection screen.
There is no way to get rid of the connecting dialogue box on a Mac.
How do I install Java on my Mac to join Webex meetings?
Note:
Currently, the only version of Mac OS that is compatible with Webex is the Mac OS 10.13 and higher.
Solution:
Using Webex for the first time requires that you install and enable Java as a plugin in order to participate in a Webex meeting.
New installation of Java:

From the Free Java Download page, you can download the latest version of Java.

Downloaded disk images should be opened by double clicking on them.

Follow the onscreen instructions when you open the installer within.

The computer needs to be restarted.

Select the System Preferences option from the Apple menu.

You can open the Java Control Panel application by choosing View > Java from the menu on the left.
