Upgrade Your Cisco Headset 500 Series in webex
Upgrades to the firmware on your Cisco headset will improve audio quality and offer new functionality.
As with any other software, it is possible to upgrade the firmware on the headset using a Cisco IP Phone (the firmware must be 12.5(1) or later), in the Jabber application (version 12.6 or later), or through Cisco Webex. Through the Cisco Accessory Hub, it is also possible to upgrade your Cisco Headset 560 Series.
While the Cisco Headset 560 Series base is being upgraded, you may notice that the LEDs on it blink from left to right in a sequence. It is important to note that after the successful completion of the software upgrade, the LEDs will return to their idle state.
In order to begin the upgrade process, you will need to take the following steps:
-
Using the USB cable that comes with your headset, connect it to a Cisco IP phone.
-
If you have Cisco Jabber installed on your computer, connect your headset to it using a USB cable.
-
Using the USB cable that came with your headset, connect it to a computer that has Cisco Webex installed on it.
-
Make sure that your headset is connected to the computer and visit the website https://upgrade.cisco.com/accessories (only for the Cisco Headset 560 Series).
Please follow the instructions on the screen to complete the process.
It is recommended that you restart the device if the headset does not automatically begin to update.
