Use a USB Headset with Your Phone (8800 Series with Multiplatform Firmware) in webex
USB Headsets
If your phone has a USB port, then you may be able to use a USB headset for your calls.
A USB headset can only be connected to one USB port at a time if your phone has more than one USB port.
In the Accessories Available for Your Phone section, you will find a list of phones that are compatible with USB headsets.
Unified Communications Endpoints and Client Accessories provides a list of headsets that can be used with the platform. There is a possibility that if you attach a USB headset that does not appear on the list, it will not function properly. Depending on the manufacturer of your USB headset, you will need to refer to the documentation for more information.
Connect a USB Headset
Whenever you use a USB headset with your phone, you need to keep these things in mind:
-
There is a limit on the number of headsets you may use at once. In the last few months, the active headset has become one of the most popular headsets.
-
The audio path does not change automatically if you unplug a USB headset during an active call while you are still on the handset. The Speakerphone button needs to be pressed or the handset is picked up in order to use Speakerphone.
-
A USB headset that is plugged into the speaker will automatically change to the microphone as soon as the headset is unplugged from the headset jack.
-
The audio of the call will change to the USB headset if you plug in a USB headset while you are on a call.
There is a USB port on the phone which you can plug the headset into.
