Use the Alarm Clock on Your DECT Handset in webex

It is possible to set an alarm clock using your DECT handset. There are two types of alarm: one-time and recurring alarms. Times can also be set using the timer feature.

As an alarm clock, you can use the handset that comes with your handset. You can dismiss the alarm when it rings, or you can set the handset so that it will ring in the upcoming minutes after the alarm rings.

Set an alarm

There is an alarm timer available on your handset that will enable you to set a reminder at a specific time. A timer expires and the handset rings once the timer expires. The alarm field then goes back to Off when the timer expires.

A single-use alarm can only be set once at a time.

  • Click on the Menu button.
  • Click Alarms > Alarms from the main menu.
  • Make sure the alarm is set at a time that is convenient for you.

Using the navigation ring on the right or left of the screen, you can move between fields. In order to increment or decrement the number, push the Navigation ring up or down, or use the keypad to enter the number that you wish to enter.

  • Please click the Save button.

Set a recurring alarm

Using a recurring alarm timer on your handset, you can pick a specific time that reminds you to adjust your handset each day at a specific time. In terms of recurring alarms on the handset, there can only be one set.

  • Click on the Menu button.
  • Choose Alarms > Recurrent Alarms from the menu.
  • Make sure the alarm is set at a time that is convenient for you.

  • Click on the ‘OK’ button.

Set the Snooze Time

As soon as an alarm rings, you have the option to snooze it so that it will ring again at the set time at the next interval. Unless you specify a different value, the default delay is 10 minutes, but you can set the delay to be between 1 minute and 10 minutes.

  1. Click on the Menu button.
  2. Then select the Snooze time option under Alarms.
  3. You can set the time for snoozing.
  4. Click on the Select button.

Respond to an Alarm

The handset rings at the time of the configured alarm, and you are required to answer the alarm. The alarm won’t start ringing if you are on a phone call until you end the call before it starts ringing.

Before you begin

An alarm must be configured either as a one-time alarm or as a recurring alarm.

Here are some things you can do to help:

  • To snooze the alarm for a specified interval, press the snooze button on the alarm clock.

  • Please click on Dismiss in order to dismiss this message.
