Using advanced software audio processing in zoom app
The Zoom Room is able to manage mic settings in order to optimize the microphone sound quality, even if the microphone does not have software audio processing embedded. It has an audio processing software that is capable of cancelling echos, reducing noise and controlling the gain automatically, as well. Alternatively, this setting can be disabled if the microphone in use has built-in audio processing to avoid conflict between Zoom Room and built-in audio processing.
Prerequisites for enabling advanced software audio processing
-
Version 4.0.37666.0630 or higher of Zoom Rooms for Mac is required
-
Version 4.0.44731.0823 or higher of Zoom Rooms for PC is required

-
Disable Software Audio Processing for microphones with their own audio processor. If you are using another microphone, make sure that this option is enabled.
-
-
Select Advanced Software Audio Processing by clicking the toggle.
-
Toggle Lock Settings again once you’ve made your changes.
Note: In older versions of Zoom Rooms, a Software Echo Cancellation and Automatically Adjust Mic Level option replaced the software Audio Processing option.
