Using dual screen views on SIP/H.323 devices
Through the Cloud Room Connector, devices connected via SIP/H.323 can now view the Active Speaker layout on one screen while viewing the Gallery view layout on a second screen or view both Gallery views simultaneously. On each screen, two other participants will be displayed separately if there are only two other participants in the meeting.
This feature utilizes the dual-streams by using the content stream for the second video feed when screen sharing is not active. As a result, if your dialing string uses “505” to force single-stream video connections, this feature will not work.
Prerequisites for using dual screen views on SIP/H.323 devices
- Two monitors connected to a SIP/H.323 device
- that is enabled for H.239 and BFCP
- encoding
- 4Mbps or higher call speed
How to join a meeting with dual-screen video enabled
When dialing into a meeting with dual video-enabled, you will need to add a “308” or a “608” to your dial string.
Whether using 608 or 308, you can still change the video layout from the in-meeting menu by opening the main menu and pressing 1.
