Using Remote support session in zoom App
It is possible to remotely control, turn on, and restart a computer running Windows or Mac OS through an online remote support session. During the support session, the initiating user may:
- Request desktop control
- Request application control
- Request computer restart
Note:
Simultaneous screen sharing will be disabled during a remote support session.

Prerequisites
- Zoom Desktop Client
- Windows: 5.4.3 or higher
- macOS: 5.4.3 or higher
- Linux: 5.4.5 or higher
- Free or Paid account
- The host of the meeting must have remote support turned on on their account
Using remote support session
Windows
Note:
- In the Zoom desktop client settings, instruct the other end-user to enable remote control of all applications if they’re using a Windows computer.
- When prompted, users can enter their administrator credentials in the UAC (User Access Control) window during a remote support session.
- Start a meeting instantly or schedule one.
- Click to the meeting controls, then click Support, then choose one of these options:
- Share the remote user’s desktop by allowing Desktop Control to prompt them.
- Remote participants will see the following after they make the request:

- An additional administrator prompt may be required to grant them access to make changes.
Note: You can choose which screen you want to control if the participant has multiple screens.

- If the host selects the desktop, the far end desktop can be controlled remotely.
- The Remote User should be prompted to share an application using Application Control.
- If they agree, they will see the following message:

- Please select the app you want to share.
- The remote user will be prompted to restart their computer if they agree.

- Zoom will continue once the computer has restarted.
MacOS
- Instantly or on a scheduled basis, schedule a meeting.
- Select a meeting option by clicking Support in your meeting controls:
- The remote user should be prompted to share their desktop by Desktop Control.

- The host can control the participant’s desktop remotely after selecting the desktop.
- Ask the remote user if they would like to share a specific application.
- If they say yes, they will see these results:

- If they choose to share an application, they will be asked to choose it.
- When prompted to restart the computer, click Restart Computer.
- Zoom will relaunch after the computer has restarted.
