Using SMS message and conversation options in Zoom
It is possible to send and receive text messages using Zoom Phone SMS by using either a Zoom desktop client or a Zoom mobile app. As an alternative to calling queues or using an auto-receptionist, SMS can also be used.

How to use SMS message options

The Zoom desktop client or Zoom mobile app can be accessed by logging in.

The phone tab can be accessed by clicking or tapping it.

The SMS tab can be accessed by clicking or tapping it.

An SMS conversation can be accessed by clicking or tapping on it.

The following sections will help you get started:
Desktop client
You can view these options by hovering over the ellipses button (…) when you are viewing an SMS message.

Save as: This will allow you to save the image file to your local hard drive.

Open File Location: You will need to open the directory where the original image file is located on your local computer.

Copy: Make a copy of the text in the message and paste it into your clipboard.

Delete: The message will be removed for you by our system. As long as the other SMS participant has access to the message, they will still be able to see it.
Note: If the SMS conversation is linked to a call queue, auto receptionist or call translation service, the message will still be able to be seen by the second SMS participant, but it will be deleted for all members of the call queue or auto receptionist.
Mobile app
You will be able to access these options when you tap and hold an SMS message on the mobile app.

Save Image: You can save the image to your local device by clicking on the Save Image button.

Copy: You can copy the text of the message to your clipboard by clicking on it.

Delete: The message will be removed for you as soon as possible. This message will still be visible to the other SMS participant as well.
How to use SMS conversation options
Desktop client
The following options are available by hovering over an SMS conversation below the SMS tab and clicking the ellipsis (…) button.

Meet with Video / Meet without Video / Chat (the Meet with Video / Meet without Video / Chat options are only available if the number comes from an internal or external Zoom contact): Take part in an instant meeting or chat with the contact one-on-one.
Note: SMS conversations that are associated with call queues or automatic receptionists will not be able to use this feature. -
Create Google Contact / Create Outlook Contact (This option will only be available if the contacts integration feature has been enabled): Create a new Google or Outlook contact using the call history entry. In the Contacts tab, you will be able to see the new contact you have created. If you need to edit the contact information further, you can access the contact in Google or Outlook.

Add to Google Contact / Add to Outlook Contact (visible only if contact integration has been enabled): If an existing synced contact has a phone number associated with it, you can add that number. If you need to make any more changes to the contact details, you can access it in Google or Outlook.

Block Number: Block the number by adding it to the list of numbers you want to block.

Push Notifications: This option allows you to configure whether push notifications are enabled for the conversation or not.

Delete Conversation: The SMS conversation will be removed from the list and all the messages in the conversation will be deleted. The conversation will still be visible to the other SMS participant, even though they are not part of it.
You can access these options by clicking the info icon in the top-right corner of the screen:

Members: Shows the phone numbers involved in the SMS conversation along with a description of the conversation.

Auto Receptionist Info / Call Queue Info (This information is only available if the SMS conversation is associated with a call queue or auto receptionist): The information displayed here includes the call queue or auto receptionist’s name, extension number, and direct number.

Push Notifications: Depending on the conversation you can choose whether or not to enable push notifications.

Images: Images are displayed as part of the conversation.

Files: At the moment, this section is not in use. It is only possible to send images using Zoom Phone SMS that you can send images.

More Options

Block Number: Make sure the number is added to your list of blocked numbers.

Mobile app
It is possible to access these options by tapping and holding an SMS conversation below the SMS tab.

Phone Call: Make a call to the phone number associated with the account.

Create Phone Contact: From the contact list, create a new phone contact and add the number to it. For contacts that have been synced, this option is not available to you.

Add to Existing Phone Contact: This can be done by adding the number to an existing contact in the contacts directory on your phone. Synced contacts do not have this option available to them.

Block Number: Block the number by adding it to the list of numbers you want to block.

Delete Conversation: You can delete the SMS conversation and all the messages that are in that conversation by clicking the Delete button. As long as the other SMS participant has access to the conversation, he or she will still be able to view it.
When you tap an SMS conversation and click the info icon in the top-right corner, you will be able to access the following options:

In the top part of the screen, you can see two phone numbers: These are the phone numbers involved in the SMS conversation.

Images: The conversation contains images that can be displayed.

Receive Notifications: The option of enabling or disabling push notifications for the conversation can be found here.
