Using the Emergency Call Notifications chatbot in zoom app
A Zoom Chat channel can now be configured as a safety team channel, and you can integrate Zoom Rooms and Zoom Digital Signage with it, as well as configure any Zoom Chat channel to serve as an internal safety team channel. Setting up Emergency Call Notifications and the channel
You will be able to configure the app in a way that meets your company’s safety policies and procedures by configuring emergency call notifications for your company. As part of the channel configuration, you can define how many sites and emergency numbers are monitored for emergency call notifications by the channel.
Example: 911 is the number to call in case of an emergency in the United States. There is an option for Zoom customers to use 933 as a test number for emergency services when Zoom is used as their carrier for emergency calls. For such a situation, we recommend that you set up both of these numbers in case of an emergency.
You can also have the same configuration (site and emergency number combination) to send notifications to multiple channels.
The procedure of setting up the channels needs to be repeated as many times as necessary.
-
In order to receive emergency calls notifications, you would need to log into the Zoom client and choose what channel you would like to receive them on.
-
To open the configuration window, you will need to enter the command /emergencycall setup.
-
Select the emergency number and the location of the emergency.
-
Make the necessary changes and save them.
Editing and deleting configurations
-
You need to log into the Zoom client and select the channel that needs to be updated.
-
If you wish to see the channel configurations, enter /emergencycall configure from the command line. Enter the command /emergencyall configure all to display all configurations.

As needed, select either Edit or Delete from the menu.
Disconnecting a configuration for a Channel
-
You can update the channel by logging into the Zoom client and going to the channel page.
-
You can disconnect the channel currently configured at /emergencycall disconnect in order to change it to the new configuration. When you type disconnect all, all configurations will be disconnected from each other.
Commands for the chat room (for administrators)
It is possible to maintain channel configurations by using chat commands. In the field that is available for chat, you can enter the word help to display a list of chat commands that can be used by the chatbot.
