Using the Workplace Bot in zoom App

Overview

Utilizing the Workplace by Facebook Zoom Bot integration, you can start an instant meeting or join a scheduled meeting quickly. Zoom will be able to see meetings created in Workplace by Facebook.

This article applies to Workplace accounts where the bot has already been configured. For instructions on how to get started with the Workplace Zoom Bot, see Getting Started with the Workplace Zoom Bot.

Prerequisites

  • Zoom Pro, Zoom Business, Zoom Education, and Zoom API
  • are available through Facebook Workplace

Using the Workplace Zoom Bot

In group chats, the Workplace Zoom Bot shares meeting information. Type @zoom help to see a list of all available commands.

Group chat

To start a meeting without a meeting topic, to start a meeting with a meeting topic, or to join a meeting, enter the appropriate @zoom command in Group Chats.

Meeting Summary and Recording Link

A meeting summary and recording link (if the meeting has been recorded in the cloud) will be posted by the Bot at the end of the meeting. The meeting will not be posted if the meeting was held using your Personal Meeting ID. You can disable the setting “always use PMI for instant meetings” in your Zoom account.
