Using the Zoom meeting integration for Atlassian Jira Software and Service Desk
It is now possible to start or schedule a Zoom meeting from within Jira or Jira Service Desk tickets and the Zoom platform, which is integrated with Atlassian Jira Software and Service Desk, as well as other Jira platforms, including Jira Cloud. A meeting summary is also available once the meeting is over as a result of this integration.
Prerequisites for the Atlassian Jira Software and Service Desk integration

A basic account (free with a credit card or free with a debit card)

There are three types of accounts to choose from: Pro, Business/Enterprise, and Education

A Jira account, Jira Service Desk account, or other Jira account on the Jira platform is required

The zoom App Marketplace has pre-approved the Atlassian Jira integration app and the Service Desk integration app that are integrated with Jira
Note: Your Zoom administrator will be able to assist you if the app has not been pre-approved.
How to install the Atlassian Jira integration app from Zoom Marketplace

Log in with your Zoom account to access the Zoom App Marketplace.

There is a search box located in the top right hand corner of your screen that you can use to find “Atlassian Jira and Service Desk.”.

The first thing you need to do is locate the Atlassian Jira and Service Desk app in your search results and click it.
Note: The Zoom admin will need to approve this application if it does not have pre-approval, so please contact them to do so. -
To install the software, click the Visit Site button.
The Atlassian Marketplace website will be redirected to you once you click on the link above. -
You can install the application by logging into your account and following the instructions.
It will be possible to enable the Atlassian Jira and Service Desk apps as well.
How to install the Atlassian Jira integration app from Atlassian Marketplace

You will need to sign in with your Atlassian account in order to access the Atlassian Marketplace.

You will now be able to find Zoom for Jira and Service Desk by typing the following in the search bar.

In your search results, you will find Zoom for Jira & Service Desk. Click on the Zoom app to access its details.

Choose the type of server you would like to use by clicking Get it now.
Note: During the installation process, you will be required to be the administrator of your Atlassian Cloud site.
You will have to install the Zoom integration app for Atlassian Jira and Service Desk once installation has been completed.
How to use the Atlassian Jira and Service Desk integration
Start a meeting from Atlassian Jira and Service Desk

Click on the ticket you wish to open.

The Zoom Meetings feature can be found on the right side navigation menu.

Start the meeting by clicking the Start Meeting button.

The Zoom meeting can be launched by clicking the join link at the bottom of the page.
It will also be possible for other members of the ticket to join the meeting or you can copy and spread the link to other people on the ticket.
The timeline will display a summary of the meeting and the recording (if applicable) once the meeting is over.
Schedule a meeting from Atlassian Jira and Service Desk

Click on the ticket you wish to open.

The Zoom Meetings feature can be found on the right side navigation menu.

You will then be able to schedule the meeting.

You have the option of specifying the topic, start time, time zone, and duration of the meeting.
Under Zoom, there will be a sidebar that displays meeting details.
The timeline will show the meeting summary and recording (if applicable) as soon as the meeting starts and ends, allowing you to follow the meeting’s progress.
Cancel a meeting in Atlassian Jira and Service Desk

Click on the ticket you wish to open.

The Zoom Meetings feature can be found on the right side navigation menu.

If you want to cancel a meeting, you need to find it first.

You can cancel the meeting by clicking Cancel on the meeting time.
How to remove the Atlassian Jira and Service Desk integration

Log in with your Zoom account to access the Zoom App Marketplace.

Click on the Manage button at the top of the page, which can be found in the right corner.

Select the Added Apps option from the navigation menu at the top of the page.

You should be able to remove the Atlassian Jira & Service Desk app by clicking the Remove icon next to it.

Click the Remove button to confirm that you wish to remove the item.
How your data is used
Zoom account
Your Zoom account information will be accessed and used by this app, including the following:

Detail regarding the upcoming meeting (meeting ID, topic, start time, duration, meeting password, and meeting invitation with instructions on how to join): Used for displaying information regarding a selected meeting that is to be held soon.

Meeting summary: As soon as a meeting has been completed, it is displayed in Jira.

Recording info: After a meeting is complete, the results are displayed in Jira as a status change.

User Name: An issue comment containing this information will be displayed.
Atlassian Jira and Service Desk account
Your Atlassian Jira and Service Desk account is accessed and used by this app to retrieve the following information:

Atlassian account ID: An Atlassian account can be mapped to your Zoom account using this feature.

Timezone: Meetings are scheduled using this form.
Zoom Support can be contacted if you need additional assistance or technical support.
