Using Zoom on Google Nest Hub Max
Google Nest Hub Max now supports Zoom for Home. It is as simple as saying, “Ok, Google, let’s start a meeting.” Anyone can use this functionality, and no additional license is required.

Prerequisites
- Nest Hub Max by Google
This device must be set up in the US, UK, AU or CA, with English as the language of choice - (Zoom account)
How to set up
- On your mobile device, download the Google Home App:
- Google Play is the best place to download the app if you are an Android user.
- Download the app from the Apple store if you are using an iOS device.
- Log in to the Google Home app:
- Connect your Google account to the app.
- Choose your avatar. To access Voice & Video Apps, tap Assistant Settings, then Voice & Video Calls. Tap Zoom, then link your account.
- Turn on the Nest Hub Max.
- Using the Google Home App, pair the Nest Hub Max to your account by following the on-screen prompts.
- Make sure that Personal Results are enabled:
- Select your Nest Hub Max device from the Google Home App.
- Choose Settings from the menu that appears.
- Select Recognition & sharing from the page that appears.
- Choose Recognition & personalization from the page that appears.
- Enable the Allow personal results toggle on the Recognition & personalization page.
How to join meetings
To join a meeting, use the Nest Hub Max interface or voice commands.
Note:
Nest Hub Max displays the calendar associated with the Google account linked to your Nest Hub Max, not the one associated with the Zoom account linked.
Using the Zoom interface, you can join a meeting:
- From the home screen, swipe to the right until you reach the Communicate screen.
- Choose one of the meeting options and tap Start Zoom Meeting.
Use the following commands to join a Zoom meeting:
- I want you to join my next meeting, Google.
- I will add you to my next Zoom meeting.
- You can also say “Ok Google, join the meeting”.
- This will prompt you to choose which service you wish to use. Choose Zoom.
Closing the Zoom App:
- You can close the join screen from the right if you change your mind before joining a meeting.
- The meeting host will need to let you in if you enter a waiting room while joining a meeting. You can leave by saying “Hey Google, exit Zoom” if this does not happen.
Google Assistant app
It will gather meeting information from Zoom Meetings you start if you have the Google Assistant app. If you want to invite others, you can ask the app to send them this information.
