VDI Log Tool in zoom App
Collect information from your VDI environment to troubleshoot issues using the log tool. Download VDI’s latest version and open the installation folder to get the tool.
Prerequisites for troubleshooting with the VDI log tool
- Set up Zoom VDI on either a VMware or Citrix environment, or on Windows Virtual Desktop
- To enable Zoom VDI logging from the tool interface, you will need Zoom VDI version 3.3.0 or higher
How to use the VDI log tool
Open the ZoomVDITool.exe file in the installation folder after downloading VDI. Click on the Zoom VDI client to run it. Plug-ins for thin clients will not work with it. The tool is organized as follows:
- Save Location
Change the location where the collected logs should be saved by clicking Change. Shared folders on your network or local folders can be selected. A message will appear next to the State section of the interface if there is a problem copying the logs to the location you selected. - Enable Log
You can enable logging by clicking the Enable Log button. - Number of Log Files
Using this, you can see how many files with the .log extension have been saved by your VDI client. - Total Size of All Logs
This is the total size of all the .log files your VDI client has saved. - State
Displays the status of Log Collection or Log Clearing.
The VDI client and connected thin client plugins can be collected by clicking Collect Logs. By clicking the Clear Logs link, you will be able to remove .log files and crash dump files that VDI clients and thin client plugins have been collecting.
