A Microsoft Teams team is a group of people who work together on projects, share a common interest, or work on projects together.
Teams are composed of two types of channels – standard channels which are accessible to everyone and which are private channels which are just for conversations with one group of people. A channel is usually created around a particular theme, for example, ‘Team Events’, ‘Department Names’, or for simply fun. There are many different types of channels available. There are channels where meetings can be held, where you can have discussions, and where files can be shared.
There will be a tab for each channel in which you will have the option of accessing your favorite files, applications, and services within that channel.
Add a tab
- The tabs can be expanded by clicking the plus sign next to them.A project board can be created using Planner, for example, if a team wants to keep track of the tasks that need to be done.
Pin and unpin a channel
You should pin the most important channels if you have a lot of them so that you can easily find them in the future.
- You can pin a channel by choosing one to pin and then selecting more channels > Pin when you are ready to pin it.
- You can unpin a channel by choosing a channel and then selecting More channels > Unpin, and you can do so much more by checking out what else can be done.
