Viewing phone contacts in Zoom mobile app

If you use the Zoom mobile app, you can view and invite your phone’s contacts to Zoom, or you can call them with Zoom Phone by using the Zoom mobile app. There is also a feature called matching phone contacts which is also known as this feature.

In most cases, native contacts apps allow the use of third-party services such as Google, Office 365, or Exchange in order to synchronize contacts. To learn more about syncing your phone’s contacts app, you can visit the following websites:

  Note: If your phone uses a customized version of Android (for example, Samsung devices), you will need to visit the support site for the phone manufacturer.

• Apple iOS

As soon as you have enabled syncing, follow the steps below to access the Zoom mobile app in order to view your phone contacts.

How to view phone contacts

1. You will need to sign in to the Zoom app on your mobile device.

2. On the Settings screen, tap the gear icon.

3. Click on Contacts and then select Phone Contacts Matching from the menu.

4. Make sure that you enter a phone number that is capable of receiving text messages.

5. Click on the Continue button.

6. Click OK when you are asked to do so.
   As soon as Zoom receives your phone number, a text message will be sent to you to confirm it.

7. Tap the Next button once you have entered the verification code you received.
   To grant Zoom access to your phone contacts if you are using an Android device, you will need to tap Allow when you are prompted to do so.

8. Once you have done that, tap Done.
   Contacts from your phone will appear under the Phone Contacts tab in the Contacts tab of your phone.

How to call phone contacts

1. You will need to sign in to the Zoom app on your mobile device.

2. Click the Contacts tab at the top of the screen.
   In order to grant Zoom access to your phone contacts when prompted by an Android device, you will need to tap Allow when prompted.

3. You can access your phone contacts by tapping the Phone Contacts tab under My Contacts.

4. A contact’s name will appear when you tap it.

5. Click on the Call button to make a call to the contact using Zoom Phone.
   If the contact has more than one phone number, you will be asked to select one of the numbers to call if there are several.
