Webex App Confluence Cloud bot
In addition to documentation for features and projects, Confluence provides users with other helpful features. The Confluence Cloud bot can be added to the Webex App by admins for your team’s Confluence Cloud instance so that your team can stay on top of changes to pages and blogs in their Confluence Cloud instance.
These are examples of bots developed by Cisco that are used on a daily basis.
Bots in Webex App
A bot can help extend the capabilities of Webex Apps so that they support third-party applications as well. With Webex App Spaces, you can create bots that connect to third-party apps so that you can interact directly with them from the space. Upon adding the bot to the space, you can send a help message to the bot, and the response you receive from the bot will include the commands that the bot is capable of performing.
In your project space, you can add a bot, and interact directly with the third-party app from that space. Adding a bot to the project space with other people, in addition to adding a bot to your own space. It is also possible to create a space where only you and the bot will be interacting with the third-party application.
A Webex App Hub is a place where Cisco and third-party developers can come together to create bots and apps for Webex.
Cards in Webex App
In the Webex App, bots are able to present information in a variety of ways. It is much easier for a user to interact with a bot directly when the bot responds to a command directly through the use of cards. To update and gather information, you can use drop-down menus, buttons, and even text fields that will allow you to select from options on a drop-down menu.
It is recommended that you visit https://developer.webex.com/blog/new-buttons-cards/ for more information on the cards framework.
Please contact devsupport@webex.com if you have any issues with the bot when using cards.
