To convey your message visually, use a whiteboard to illustrate what you are trying to communicate. In a meeting, any whiteboard can be shared and edited by all participants. Sharing the whiteboard live allows every member of the meeting to be able to see the updates in real time and work on them together.

A shared whiteboard can be edited and viewed by multiple people at the same time. Webex has an App for Windows, Macs, and the web, and users are welcome to join with the app.

During the meeting, the other people can only view the whiteboards on the whiteboard within the meeting, such as:

  • Apps from third parties, such as Skype for Business, are available

  • Apps for iPhones, iPads, and Androids are available for Webex

  • It is possible to connect video endpoints that are based on standards (SIP, H.323)

  • A new whiteboard can be shared in a meeting by going to the More options menu, choosing New whiteboard, then sharing it within the meeting.
  • A marker’s color can be changed by changing the color of the marker.

  • Using the eraser on the marker will turn it into an eraser. You can clear the edits by clicking the eraser again, or you can select Clear all to erase all the edits in one go. Deleted edits can be restored if you click the undo button after deleting them.

  • Stickies is a program that adds and creates stickers. Stickies can be added to your whiteboard in many ways, such as adding text, changing the color, and moving them around.

  • By clicking Undo, you will be able to remove the last edit you made. In order to return to the last saved state of the whiteboard, you can continue clicking undo and removing each edit.

If someone selects the Clear all option on a shared whiteboard, there is no undo option available. However, if the whiteboard is not edited by anybody else and it has been cleared all, you can click Undo in order to restore the changes you made.

  • A whiteboard can be as large as you like. There is no limit to how large it can be. On your keyboard, you will find an arrow key that provides you with the option to move around the whiteboard. The whiteboard can be zoomed in and out with the click of a mouse or the touch of a touchpad.

  • After you have finished the process, select Done when you are done.

The only way that you can continue editing the whiteboard is to click Annotate if you need to change your mind.

  • The sharing of your whiteboard can be stopped by clicking here.
