Webex App | Make work calls over a mobile phone connection – Webex
You have the ability to select how calls are handled within the Webex App if your administrator has set you up with Dial-via-Office (DvO). You can use the connection on your mobile phone to make calls for work, which guarantees that your calls will continue without interruption even if data is not accessible. Therefore, whenever you place a call using the Webex App, you will instantly receive a return call. Your work number will always be displayed as the caller ID, regardless of which option you select, making it simple for other people to recognize you.
You can add the number of your mobile phone or the number of another device to your desktop app so that it functions as a Single Number Reach number. Visit this page and look under the Desktop tab for the part titled “Unified CM” to find information on how to configure this feature.
1 After tapping your profile image, navigate to the Settings menu, and then select Calls from the menu.
2 Move your cursor to PLACE CALLS USING, and then select one of the following options:
Voice Over IP — Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is the only method that is used to route business calls. It is advised that you choose this setting if you do not frequently move about or if you have consistent connection to the internet at work or at home.
Mobile voice network — Calls for work are routed exclusively through the mobile voice network. If you frequently find yourself in places where internet connectivity is not available, it is recommended that you change this setting.
Autoselect — Allow the Webex App to determine the most appropriate option for your business calls. This configuration will make the decision between using mobile voice or VoIP automatically, depending on the surrounding conditions.
3 When you make a call from the mobile app on your device, if you have Mobile voice network selected, your phone will begin to ring and you will receive a notification that you have an incoming call. If you pick up the call, the person you’re trying to get in touch with will immediately have their phone ring.
