Webex App | Move a phone call between Webex App and your desk phone
There is no difference between Webex App and your desk phone if you are using Webex App to make calls, and your desk phone is also connected to Webex App, so you are using the same number for both. There is a shared line that is used by all devices to work together. The app and your phone share the same line, so it is seamless for you to transfer calls between the two.
Your desk phone does not show that you have an active Remote call when you are on a call using the Webex App. The phone call might be transferred between your desk phone and the app depending on how your setup is set up.
In spite of the fact that the information and functions that appear on your desk phone will differ depending on the setup that you have, here is an idea of how a call might appear on Brandon’s phone when he is using the Webex App to talk to Brenda.
The Webex App offers you the option to put a call on hold, or you can use your desk phone to do it. In the Webex App, at any time you are on a call, you can select More, then Hold in order to put the call on hold. If you are using a desk phone, press the resume button. You can also resume Webex by pressing and holding the button on your phone.
Regardless of the fact whether you put the call on hold using your phone or the Webex App, your spaces list in the Webex App will indicate when the call has been placed on hold.
