Webex App | See who has their hand raised in a meeting
In a gathering, it is possible to identify the participants who have raised their hands. You have the ability to submit a request to the participant to unmute themselves so that they can speak if you are the host or cohost of the event.
Participants who raise their hands will get an indication of this next to their name in the list of participants, as well as a raise hand icon next to their video thumbnail.
You have the option of playing a notification sound whenever a participant raises their hand.
Desktop
1. To access the Participants page during a meeting, click here.
2.. Select the Sort Sort > button. Hands were raised.
- Participants who put their hands up are moved to the top of the participants list, and the rest of the list is sorted according to the order in which the participants put up their hands. Cohosts who have shown their support by raising their hands are listed first, followed by other participants who have shown their support.
- You, the host, the presenter, and the cohost will continue to occupy the first three spots on this list.
3. If you are the host and the individual with their hand raised is muted, ask them to unmute themselves so that they can talk. This will allow them to participate in the conversation.
4.. If you are the host of the meeting, you should ask the participant to lower their hand or you should ask everyone to lower their hands.
- To bring down a participant’s raised hand, go to the participants list, hover your mouse pointer over Raised hand, and then click Lower hand.
- To lower everyone’s hand, click the More choices button that appears when you hover over a participant’s name. Additional options > Bring all of your hands down.
