Webex App | Set up fingerprint or face recognition to easily unlock the app
You may easily restart the app to catch up on your spaces by using biometric verification, such as a fingerprint or a facial scan, which provides an additional layer of security for your information.
First, you need to determine whether or not the Webex App is compatible with the version of the iPhone, iPad, or Android device that you have.
After that, check to see if your device is capable of supporting biometric authentication.
Even though some gadgets only allow fingerprint recognition, others can recognize your face.
iOS
1. Use Face ID Authentication by tapping your Profile, then going to Settings, selecting Privacy, and finally tapping Use Face ID Authentication.
Use the Touch ID Authentication option instead if Face ID isn’t supported on your device. You need to turn on Touch ID on your smartphone if it isn’t already enabled in the settings.
To configure the biometric security settings on your smartphone, follow the steps that appear on-screen.
If you do not already have a passcode, you will be required to generate one in order to participate in the identity verification process.
2. To set a time for your app to automatically lock, select the Lock screen option. Choose the Immediately option to ensure that the program locks itself whenever you exit it, or set a timer to ensure that it locks itself after a predetermined amount of idle time. Pick your option:
- After 1 minute
- After 5 minutes
- After 10 minutes
3. To reopen the app from the app lock screen, use Face ID by giving your device a quick glance to unlock it, or use Touch ID by scanning your fingerprint to unlock it.
If your smartphone is unable to recognize either your fingerprint or your face, you will need to enter your passcode.
If you sign out of the Webex App, the next time you sign in, you’ll need to configure your Face ID authentication once more.
