Share files, attachments, photos, and videos to make your spaces more interesting and personal.
Files other than .tif can be shared with a space, and the largest file size that can be uploaded is 2 GB. If the file is less than 100 MB in size and less than 50 pages, you can preview it without downloading it first, and it must be one of the following file types: .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpeg, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .pptx, .xls, and .xlsx.
GIFs with file sizes under 2 MB will automatically play in the app when you add them.
Desktop
- You can share files by dragging and dropping them or by choosing a file source:
Drag and drop a file:
- You can drag and drop files directly into your message area from Messaging, or you can dragged and dropped them directly into the space you are working on if you are currently in it.
- Alternatively, you can select your files and drag them to the Files tab when you are in a space by clicking Content > Files.
You can confirm copying them into the space in the message area that appears automatically.
A maximum of ten files can be dragged and dropped at once. The following file types are supported: .doc, .docx, .csv, .key, .ppt, .pptx, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .pdf, .xls, .xlsx, .mp3, .mp4, .mov, .mpg, and .wmv. The current version does not support folders or .tif files.
Select a file source:

The file you wish to attach can be selected by clicking Attachment.

To take a screenshot, click Screen capture.

iOS
- The message area is where you can choose the source of the file:

Files—Cloud services such as Google Drive and iCloud Drive allow you to share files from local storage.

Photos—Take a picture or make a video and share it.

Picture—Make a new video or photo.
To reduce the amount of data you need to post images or videos, you can reduce the file size.
- If you wish to share more than ten files at a time, you can do so by selecting the files you want to share, and then tapping Send.
On iPads that are running iOS 11, you can also drag and drop files so that they can be shared. The easiest way to share a file or image is to hold it in your hand and then drag it to the space of your choice.
Android
- In the message area, select a file source from the following list and enter it in the space provided:

Files —It is possible to share files locally or via cloud storage services, such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive, from your local storage.

Photos —If you have a camera or video on your device, you can share it.

Picture —It is time to take a new picture or video.
In order to reduce how much data is needed to get an image or video to be posted, you can reduce the size of the file when sharing it in a message.
- Choose the files (up to 5 files can be selected at one time) you want to share, then tap on Send, and then take care of the rest.
Web
Click the Attachment button and select the file you want to attach to the message or drag and drop it into the message area. In order to send the file, you will need to press the Enter key.

How do I share a Word document in Webex?
