Webex App | Space Classification Labels
The purpose of space classification is to remind people what topics and topics they are allowed and not allowed to discuss in a certain area. Whenever a space is classified, that space’s message area will display a class label that is specific to your organization, such as Public or Company Sensitive.
When you create a new standalone space or a general space for a team, you will be presented with the option to choose a classification label if your administrator has enabled space classification for your organization.
Classification Labels with Spaces
You can select a classification label when you create a space if your administrator has enabled space classification for the space. An unmoderated space can be reclassified by anyone, but a moderated space can only be reclassified by a moderator, since a moderator is the only one with the power to change it.
Any member of your organization has the potential to discover your organization’s public spaces. There must be a minimum level of space classification when it comes to creating public spaces.
Classification Labels with Teams
A classification label can only be applied to the general space of a team when you generate a new team, not to the entire team when you create a new team. The classification labels for each team space can be selected when creating a new team space by selecting any of the label types available to you.
Changing a Classification Label
A space’s classification can be increased to a higher, more restrictive level, but it cannot be decreased to a lower, less restrictive level to make it more flexible.
