Webex App | Update your location for emergency services
The Webex App may prompt you to update your location if you are in a country that does not support Enhanced 911 Integration (E911) or if your administrator has set up your account in such a way that it supports the integration. In order for emergency services to reach you as quickly as possible, it is important to keep your location up-to-date in the app.
The day could be a day that you decide to work from the office or your neighborhood coffee shop instead of home because you normally work from home. The app recommends that you keep your address up-to-date at all times but exactly how you do that will vary depending on the 911 service you are signed up with.
E911 service—In order to know if your app has E911 service, you can look under the footer of your app for the E911 settings. When you connect to a different network from the one you are usually connected to, the Webex App will automatically detect that and prompt you to update your IP address. As soon as you are set up with E911 service, you are prompted to update your location, and every time you change your location afterward, you will be prompted to do the same. It will automatically update your location if you are returning to a location where you have previously been without you having to do anything.
Manual 911 service—It is possible that your administrator has set you up with manual 911 service if you are not set up with E911 service. Upon logging into the app, you will be presented with a pop-up message containing a disclaimer regarding emergency services. There is also an option to Update location within the message. You are taken to your service provider’s website when you click on Update location, where you can enter your new address in order to update your location. If you have not already updated your location, you will be prompted to do so at the time of your first sign-in or after all subsequent sign-ins (depending on how your account administrator has set up your account). Changes in locations require that you manually update your address in the emergency services disclaimer after you’ve signed in.

Your address will not be able to be added to the account in three cases:
