Webex App | Use a virtual or blurred background in calls and meetings
During the call or conference, you can reduce the number of distractions surrounding you and keep your privacy intact by blurring or altering the background. You have the option of using one of the preset backgrounds or creating your own custom background to use in its place.
Contact your administrator if you do not see this function; they can alter the settings you have for blurred backgrounds.
Before you begin
Check that your device satisfies all of the requirements listed below:

Operating System—Windows 10 32-bit/64-bit
Make sure that you are running on a platform that is supported for virtual backdrops if you are working in a VDI environment. For more information, please refer to the VDI Release Notes.

1. To choose your virtual background before joining a meeting, click the Video settings button in the preview box. Next, select the background that you would want to use from the drop-down menu that appears. Once you have selected the background, you may then conceal the Video options.
Add up to three of your own images to your background to give it a more personal touch. To add an image or video, first select the plus sign (), and then navigate to the desired file. The extension of the file that you select can be any of the following:.jpg,.jpe,.jpeg,.png,.gif,.mov, or.mp4.
We strongly suggest that you make use of a picture or video file that has a resolution that is at least 480 pixels wide and 360 pixels high. The maximum dimensions that can be used for a file are 1920 by 1080.
2 To make a change to your background while you are in a meeting, click the Video settings button, then click the Change virtual background button. After making your selection, click the Save button.
The Webex App will remember your selection for the subsequent call or meeting you have scheduled.
Changing your background does not require you to be on a call or in a meeting at the time. You can make the modification at any moment, and it will be reflected in all of your next calls and meetings that take place in the Webex App. Navigate to your profile image, and then click Settings > Background from the drop-down menu. Select the option that you want, then click the Save button.

- Tap the Virtual background option located in the meeting preview box.
- Tap the More options button during the conference, and then select Change Virtual Background.
- Tap the Apply button after selecting one of the available options.
- Make your background more blurry.
- Choose a background that already exists in the computer simulation.
- You can give your background some personality by adding your own picture.
You have the option of including up to three user-provided photos. First, tap the icon, and then select an image to use. The file extension that you select can be any of the following:.gif,.jpe,.jpeg,.jpg,.mp4, or.png. It is important to keep in mind that the orientation of your phone has an effect on how much of the image is displayed. For instance, when your image is oriented in landscape mode, its full width will be displayed, however when it is oriented in portrait mode, the image will be cropped.
