Webex Calling Regional Media for Cloud Connected PSTN (CCP)
Webex Calling Regional Media is a feature that allows large enterprises with regional deployments, such as multinational companies, to use the local data centers as the communication conduit for PSTN calls. Your PSTN provider will route your PSTN traffic locally if your PSTN provider is connected to your local region, resulting in an improvement in call quality if your PSTN provider is connected to your local region. Your PSTN traffic will be routed to your organization’s home region if your PSTN provider does not have a connection with the region where you reside.
This feature is not applicable to Webex room systems that use Webex Calling Regional Media for CCP.
The first thing you must do is ensure that your network meets Cisco requirements. The best way to avoid an outage of your service is to keep your network updated, as necessary. Please refer to the Webex Network Requirements.
