Webex Wireless Phone 840 and 860 Release 1.3(0)
For the Webex Wireless Phones 840 and 860, the 1.3(0) release is now available. The 1.3(0) release comes with a number of other features in addition to those previously included in 1.2(0), including:
Multiple Lines
It is possible to configure a phone to have as many as six different phone numbers in the multiple line feature. The phone numbers and color codes for each line are distinct from one another. All lines can be used by a user for making and receiving calls. Users can have up to four simultaneous calls on a single line if their phone is configured to allow multiple calls at the same time.
Cisco Extension Mobility
Using the extension mobility feature, users can log in to their account and use different phones at different times through a simple log in process. Upon logging into a phone, the phone uses the configuration stored in the user’s profile, which includes their telephone numbers, speed dials, and privacy settings, to access the user’s profiles. Logging out results in the user-specific settings being removed from the phone, and the default configuration of the phone is applied in their place.
Shared Line
It is possible to have the same phone number configured on a number of different phones using the shared line feature. All the phones associated with the shared line ring when someone calls the shared line, and anyone with access to the shared line is able to answer the call.
Privacy
Users with shared lines can make use of the privacy feature to view the status of shared calls or to barge into a shared call if so desired. You have the option of enabling or disabling the privacy feature for each phone or for all phones in a cluster at any time.
Auto Answer
It is possible to set the auto answer feature on a phone so that when a call is incoming, it will automatically connect to the incoming call after a few rings.
Line Text Label
Instead of using the directory number to access the phone line, users can set a text label for the specific phone line as an alternative to utilizing the directory number.
