WRF2WMV Converter in Webex
MP4 Recordings Default in Webex Meetings 40.10
All brand-new recordings made with Webex Meetings will be saved in MP4 format with the upcoming October (40.10) update. These recordings can be retained in the cloud or locally, depending on the preference of the site or host, and the focus of the recording experience will be on video. Because the recording format will be standardized, you will have a greater selection of replaying tools, improved security, and an experience that is easier to collaborate with even after your meetings are over. Recordings that have already been created using ARF and WRF can still be downloaded or viewed using the Webex website. Visit Video-Centric Network-Based MP4 Recordings in Webex Meetings and Webex Events for additional details regarding video-centric recording.
End of Support for Windows 7
Cisco Webex will officially stop providing support for the Windows 7 operating system beginning with the upgrade that is scheduled for September 2020 (40.9). This computer operating system and browser will no longer receive problem fixes or other updates from Cisco. Although users on these platforms will not be prevented from joining or initiating meetings, we are unable to guarantee that a completely functional operation will be available at this time. Make plans to update both your operating system and browser if you want to ensure that you get the most out of your time spent in meetings. Note that we are actively working on establishing dates to prevent the users on these platforms from attending Webex meetings in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. As soon as we have the details, we will make the announcement in advance.
