Zoom Rooms Default Display Layout
Zoom Rooms offer a variety of video layouts. Display layouts can also be customized.

What default display layouts are available in Zoom Rooms
Single screen
A single screen can be laid out in three different ways.
- Speaker with remote control.
- Active speaker video thumbnail and content shared.
- You can view all the participants in the gallery view.
Dual Screen with video only
- Active speakers is displayed on the primary monitor.
Your local video is displayed on the secondary monitor. - Attendees and you are viewed on the primary monitor.
Active speakers are displayed on the secondary monitor.
Dual Screen with content shared
- Video, active speakers, or the gallery view will be displayed on the primary monitor.
Any shared content will be displayed on the secondary monitor.
How does hiding video participants work in Zoom Rooms
Hiding non-video participants
Video panels for the following participants are automatically hidden:
- Video is disabled or not available for users.
- Telephone users dialing into meetings.
- When users use share.zoom.us for sharing, video is disabled or not available.
The user’s number will be displayed in a popup notification on the primary monitor when in gallery view. (For example, 123-123-1234 is talking.)
An icon will appear when a dial-in attendee is in the active speaker view.
Hiding your local video
Hiding your local video:
- To set up Zoom Rooms, tap Settings on the iPad controller
- Controller, tap Lock Settings and enter your password
- To hide your local video, tap Hide
