Zoom Skype for Business (Lync) Plugin in Zoom
Overview
Zoom Skype for Business (Lync) Plugin enables Lync users 2010, 2013, and Skype for Business users to initiate Zoom meetings from the contact list. Panelists will join a webinar when joining through Skype for Business/Lync.
Prerequisites
- Version 3.5.16903.0522 or higher is required for Zoom Client
- to work with Skype for Business
- on Windows 7 or later
- versions of Lync
Installation Procedure
- Download and install Skype for Business.
- From the Zoom Download Center, you can download and install the Zoom Lync Plugin.
- The Zoom Client can be downloaded from the Zoom Download Center.
Note: The Skype for Business plugin will not appear until Skype for Business is restarted.
How to start a Zoom Meeting
Note: You will need to log into your Zoom account to access the following
- Activate Skype for Business and log in.
- Right-click on the user you would like to video conference with.
- You can start a Zoom meeting by selecting Start Zoom Meeting.
- When you select this, Zoom opens and the meeting will begin. You will be required to sign in if you are not signed in, and the meeting will start once you have signed in.
How to start a Zoom meeting while in a Skype chat session
Note: You will need to log into your Zoom account to access the following
- Click the chat window of the user you want to chat with.
- Then click the … option.
- The Zoom meeting session will start with this user.
