How do I update Skype?
Please check the Microsoft Store for updates for Skype for Windows 10 & 11 (version 15).
Note: These steps will help you enable distribution of offline apps if your organization blocks updates from the Microsoft Store.
Older versions of Skype will be retired when they are no longer supported. If you still use an older version, you will be locked out until you upgrade.
You can update Skype from within the app on Windows 7 & 8 by following these steps:
- Using Skype, sign in.
- Click Help.
- Select Manually check for updates.
Note: By pressing the ALT key, you will reveal the Help toolbar if you don’t see it
Skype on Mac can be updated via the app by following these steps:
- Log in to Skype.
- Go to the toolbar and select Skype.
