How to Change the spacing of your chat messages In microsoft Teams
In chat messages, you might want to adjust the spacing depending on the size of your monitor. With Teams, you can customize chat density to suit your preferences – from more text at once to reading less text at a comfortable level.
Show more text in compact mode
In your settings, you can change chat density to see more text if you prefer.
- Choose Settings and more > Settings > General from the upper-right corner of your screen.
- Make sure that Compact is selected under Chat density.

Messages are now displayed in a wider box and you can see more of the chat.

Show more space in comfy mode
Simply follow the steps below to return to comfy mode:
- Click on Settings and more in the upper-right corner of your screen and then select Settings > General from the drop-down menu.
- Select the Comfy option under Chat density.

There is now more space between and within your messages.
