Create SCN Files from CAD 3DS Drawings in webex

Asynchronous augmented reality (AR) sharing is supported through SceneKit Scene Document (SCN) files in Webex Meetings for iOS. With SCN, you can share AR drawings on your mobile device if you have a CAD drawing.

  • Using 3D editing and creation software, create a SCN file.
  • Your SCN file needs to be imported with CAD 3DS files.

Your 3D file can be edited or deleted if there are any unnecessary objects.

  • Export the file in the DAE format supported by Collada.
  • Using an integrated development environment to convert DAE files to SCN files or by using a file conversion program can be done by importing the DAE file into the software.
  • SCN is the format for exporting files.

Correcting wrong coordinates, adding missing data, or adding textures to SCN files is possible with software that can edit SCN files.
