Frequently asked questions about India’s e-mandate directive in zoom app
In order to make recurring payments using India Bank Cards, the RBI is now implementing a directive called the e-mandate directive, which will take effect on October 1, 2021. PayNow will become the only option for customers whose recurring payments are made with their Indian bank debit or credit cards, starting October 1, 2021.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are these changes happening?
I understand that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has mandated all offending banks, card networks, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) developers, and issuers of Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPIs) that they need to process recurring payments according to the RBI e-mandate directive. On October 1, 2021 (India Standard Time), this directive will become effective and come into effect.
Who will this change affect?
As a result of this directive, customers who use Indian-issued debit or credit cards to make payments as well as customers who use 3DS cards may be affected.
