Webex App | Change a space classification
It is possible for you to raise the classification level of a space to one that is more restricted, but you cannot lower it to one that is less restricted. In moderated spaces, only moderators have the power to change the classification label, except where the user can change the classification label at any time.
- To reclassify a space, you need to go to Messaging and choose the space you wish to reclassify.
- In the Space information section, click Edit space policy and then click OK.
Usually, if your menu has an option called Edit space policy in place of View space policy, that indicates that you are not a moderator. Changing a classification requires the help of a moderator, so you need to get in touch with them about it.
- There is a drop-down list of higher classification labels under Space classification, from which you can choose what label you want.
It is possible for any member of your organization to discover public spaces in your organization. A public space must have one of the lowest space classifications when it is being created, in accordance with the building code.
- To reclassify a space, you need to go to Messaging and choose the space you wish to reclassify.
- To edit the space policy, select Info from the activity menu.
The option View space policy on your menu instead of Edit space policy indicates that you are not a moderator, and you should change the menu to reflect that. It would be better if you asked a moderator for assistance if you want to change the classification.
- Select a higher classification level from the list of classification levels available under Choose a classification level. Then, tap Done when you are done with your work.
- The first step is to go to Messaging and select the space that needs to be reclassified.
- Then tap on the menu item that says Activity, select Info, and then choose Edit space policy from the list that appears.
