Manage which notifications your screen reader announces in webex
Make sure that the information you are most interested in is given priority. There is no doubt that the number of notifications can feel overwhelming at times when people are leaving or joining a meeting, especially during busy times. In case you are having difficulty hearing the meeting content, your screen reader can be configured to announce only the notifications you need to hear.
The screen reader can announce notifications for you, or you can select which notifications your screen reader announces, depending on whether you want to opt to have your screen reader announce notifications for you.
- Accessibility settings can be accessed from the Help menu within a meeting by selecting the Accessibility tab.
Accessibility is the first tab that appears in the Meeting settings dialog box.
- Make sure that Read notifications when screen reader is on is checked in order to enable your screen reader to announce notifications.

You can uncheck the checkbox if you do not want to receive announcements from your screen reader.
- In the screen reader settings, click the check boxes next to the notifications you want to be announced to listeners.
For notifications that you do not wish to have announced by your screen reader, check the appropriate check boxes on the screen reader’s interface.
