Audio Settings on Your DECT Handset in Webex
You have a lot of control over the noises that are produced by the DECT handset, including the ringtones, the loudness, and the audible alerts.
Adjust the volume using the Settings menu’s Silent Mode option.
You have the ability to silence the ringer on the phone when there is a call coming in. This is referred to as the silent mode.
Incoming calls are displayed on the screen of the handset even when it is set to silent mode; nevertheless, the handset will not make a sound when it receives a call.
1 Press Menu .
2 Navigate to the Settings menu and select Audio settings.
3 Highlight Silent.
4 To silence the ringer on the handset, hit the Off button, and to enable it, press the On button.
From the Settings menu, adjust the volume of the ringer.
You have the ability to adjust how loud the ringer is. Changing this volume will have no effect on the volume level of the call you are now on.
1 Press Menu .
2 Navigate to the Settings menu and select Ring volume.
3 Navigate using the ring around the navigation cluster by pressing either right or left.
4 To save the game, select the Ok button.
Adjust the Tone of the Ringer for the Various Types of Calls
You have the option of configuring distinctive ringtones for the following categories of incoming calls:
- Normal call
- Normal message
- Urgent message
- High, Medium, and Low Priority Emergencies
- Alert
1 Press Menu .
2 Navigate to the Settings menu and select Audio settings.
3 Choose the ringtone that you wish to modify from the list.
- Ring melody
- Ring normal msg.
- Ring urgent msg.
- Ring emerg. high
- Ring emerg. med
- Ring emerg. low
- Alert tone
4To highlight a specific tone, use the up and down buttons on the ring of the navigation cluster.
5 To listen to the tone, use the Play button.
6 To store the tone, press the Select button.
Adjust the Volume of the Warning
You have the ability to adjust the volume of the tone that plays whenever you hit the Emergency button.
1 Press Menu .
2 Navigate to the Settings menu and select Alert volume.
3 Navigate using the ring around the navigation cluster by pressing either right or left.
4 To save the game, select the Ok button.
Adjust the Vibration Mode on the Handset.
You have the option of programming the device to emit a vibrating alert whenever you receive a new call.
1 Press Menu .
2 Navigate to the Settings menu and select Vibrate.
3 Underline the option you’ve chosen.
- When this setting is off (the default), the handset will not vibrate when an incoming call is received on the device.
- When an incoming call is received on the handset, the handset will first vibrate, and then it will begin to ring.
- Only in vibrate mode: The handset will vibrate whenever there is a new call waiting to be answered on the handset. You are unable to listen to the ringtone.
- When an incoming call is received on the handset, the handset will simultaneously vibrate and ring to alert the user of the incoming call.
4 To permanently store the setting, press the Select button.
When a Certain Key Is Pressed, It Will Set the Tone
When you press a key, you have the option of customizing the sound that plays.
1 Press Menu .
2 Navigate to the Settings menu and select Key sound.
3 Underline the option you’ve chosen.
- The default setting is silent, which means that you won’t hear anything when you press a key.
- The sound of a click can be heard whenever a key is pressed.
- The sound of a tone is produced whenever a key is pressed on a keyboard.
4 To permanently store the setting, press the Select button.
Adjust the Volume of the Confirmation Sound
When you make a modification to one of the settings on the handset, you have the option of having it play a tone.
1 Press Menu .
2 Navigate to the Settings menu and select Audio Settings.
3 Highlight the sound of the confirmation.
4 To stop the tone from playing on the handset, hit the Off button; to start playing the tone, press the On button.
Adjust the Coverage Warning settings.
It is simple to travel outside the base station’s reception range if you roam around while you are on a call. As soon as you leave the signal’s range, the call will end abruptly.
You can configure your handset to alert you with a tone whenever the strength of the signal coming from the base station drops below a certain threshold. You will know to get closer to the base station once you hear the tone, which will alert you to do so.
If you are not currently on a call and leave the coverage area, a red icon indicating that there is no network connection will appear on the screen.

2 Navigate to the Settings menu and select Audio Settings.

4 To stop the tone from playing on the handset, hit the Off button; to start playing the tone, press the On button.
Adjust the Charger Warning Settings.
You have the option of programming the handset so that it plays a tone whenever it is connected to the charger.
1 Press Menu .
2 Navigate to the Settings menu and select Audio Settings.
3 Emphasize the caution of the Charger.
4 To stop the tone from playing on the handset, hit the Off button; to start playing the tone, press the On button.
